A Study On The Relationship Between Urban Residential Environment And Economic Development In Wuhu

Since the reform and opening-up,the process of urbanization in China has obviously accelerated,which has promoted the rapid development of economy.Under the policy of "take economic construction as the central task",in order to pursue economic development,many cities have grown faster than natural supply,which has gradually led to the contradiction between environment and economy.Since the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it has put forward the idea of building a "resource-saving and environment-friendly" society.After the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it has put forward a "new normal economy",which pays more attention to economic quality while pursuing the speed of economic development.In the new era after the 19th National Congress,it has put forward the development concept of "green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains".Cities mark the entry of mankind into modern civilization and the most intense interaction between man and nature.Therefore,dealing with the relationship between urban residential environment and economic development is the basis for achieving harmonious coexistence between man and nature.This paper takes Wuhu as the research area.Firstly,it makes a qualitative analysis of the urban residential environment and economic development of Wuhu,and finds that the economic has grown faster than natural supply.Then,on the basis of domestic and foreign research,the evaluation index system of urban residential environment and economic development is constructed,and the data of each index from 2001 to 2016 are collected.The principal component analysis of the two systems is carried out by SPSS software to find out their respective influencing factors and calculate their respective comprehensive evaluation index.Then,based on the the two series of time series of the comprehensive score index of urban residential environment and economic development from 2001 to 2016,we use Eviews software to carry out co-integration test and Granger causality test to further clarify their relationship.Finally,based on the results of empirical analysis of the two series and the extraction of the principal components of each system,we take the corresponding countermeasure test to promote the synchronous development of the two.The results show that the urban human settlements in Wuhu are mainly affected by the social security of urban residents,urban greening,natural output,urban traffic safety,housing conditions and afforestation.From 2001 to 2016,according to the speed and degree of improvement,the improvement of urban residential environment in Wuhu can be roughly divided into two stages.From 2001 to 2009,the comprehensive index of urban residential environment in Wuhu increased rapidly,and the improvement of urban residential environment was obvious.From 2010 to 2016,the development of urban residential environment in Wuhu was relatively stable.Co-integration analysis shows that from 2001 to 2009,the urban residential environment and economic development in Wuhu are synchronized,and there is a co-integration relationship;from 2010 to 2016,the improvement of the human residential environment in Wuhu lags behind the economic development,and there is no co-integration relationship between them.Granger causality test shows that the improvement of urban residential environment in Wuhu contributes greatly to economic development,but economic development has little effect on the improvement of urban residential environment.
