Chinese Practice And International Comparison Of Social Impact Investment

Today's human society faces social development problems brought about by factors such as environment,education,the gap between the rich and the poor,resources and other factors.Government resources and charitable donations alone have not been able to cope with and solve these problems.In 2007,the Rockefeller Foundation put forward the concept of “social impact investment”,advocating capital to make public welfare through economically beneficial means.Although China started late,it has a lot of attention,and it is just a key stage for China to promote social innovation.Social impact investment,a combination of business and public welfare,can more effectively release the vitality of financial capital.This paper explores the origin,development history and development status of social impact investment through the research methods of literature research and case analysis.Finally,through the similarities and differences between Chinese and foreign social impact investment,the current problems of China's social impact investment are analyzed,and corresponding suggestions are put forward.This paper firstly briefly describes the origin,development process and development status of social impact investment.Then,through case analysis,it was found that the government has made positive support and guidance in the selected projects,but the government performance will be different in the later stage of the project.For example,the attitude of the local government in the later stage of the development of Grameen Bank has changed.After the case study,the current problems of China's social impact investment are discussed,including a single investment field;the social impact investment industry chain needs to be improved;insufficient policy support and so on.At the same time,some constructive suggestions were put forward for the above problems.
