A Study On The Development Strategy Of Hebei's Foreign Trade In The New Era

Foreign trade is a concentrated embodiment of the economic strength of a country or region,and plays a strong role in driving the development of local economy.Since the reform and opening up,Hebei's foreign trade has experienced a period of rapid development.After the total foreign trade reached its peak in 2014,it showed a significant decline,and it has not yet recovered to the previous level.While,as a coastal province in the east,the scale of foreign trade of Hebei province is obviously smaller than that of other coastal trading provinces,and even lags behind some central and western regions,with low dependence on foreign trade and small competitiveness.In the new era,Hebei's foreign trade has entered an important period of strategic opportunities.The coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the planning and construction of the Xiong'an New District have greatly promoted the development of Hebei's foreign trade.The policy of further opening up has also brought unprecedented opportunities for it.At the same time,it also faces a series of serious challenges.The world economy is recovering slowly and the international market demand is shrinking;the trade war between China and the United States is raging and the trade environment is deteriorating;production costs rose and corporate profits fell.In order to promote the development of Hebei's foreign trade and enhance the competitiveness of foreign trade,it is necessary to study it at a deeper level.First,this article reviews the Hebei's foreign trade development condition,and analyzes the current situation from two aspects: the scale and the structure of foreign trade,and also,shows the opportunities and challenges that Hebei's foreign trade is facing in the new era.Second,reveals the current problems of Hebei's foreign tread,such as low added value of goods,trade market concentration,low dependence on foreign trade and the lack of independent brands.Third,through empirical analysis of the factors influencing the development of Hebei's foreign trade from the perspective of productivity cost,it is found that,to some extent,the increase of productivity cost impedes the development of foreign trade.Last,on the basis of the above analysis,puts forward four countermeasures and suggestions,which are enriching exports through scientific research and innovation,developing diversified market by integrating into the One Belt and One Road strategy,promoting trade facilitation through the "free trade zone",and realizing trade informatization with the "Internet platform",in order to promote the development of Hebei's foreign trade.
