| Nowadays,the demand of the tourists,who were born in the 80s or 90s,is becoming more and more individualized,experiential and emotional.They are no longer content with the traditional gaze,but hope to have insight into the destination through interaction and dialogue with the local people,find their own orientation by looking at other people’s culture,and harvest full happiness through good tourism experience.It is because of creating opportunities to communicate with the local people,providing humane services and making up for the alienation brought by urbanization that guest houses have become a favorite form of accommodation for tourists of new generation.In particular,the interaction between the hosts and guests can not be underestimated,for it is directly related to the tourists’ experience and happiness.The purpose of this study is just to explore the impact of interaction between the hosts and guests on the happiness of tourists and the mechanism of this influence in the context of guest houses,trying to arouse the attention of the guest houses industry to the interaction between the hosts and guests.Based on SOR theory,social interaction theory and self-determination theory,this study constructs a mechanism model of the impact of host-guest interaction on tourists’ happiness.It explores the interaction between hosts and tourists from three aspects:information interaction,commodity-service interaction and interpersonal interaction.The cognitive,emotional and eudaimonic components of tourists’happiness perception are expressed by gratification,positive emotion and eudaimonia.Data were collected through questionnaires and hypothesis were validated by structural equation model.The results show that the interpersonal interaction between hosts and guests has a significant positive impact on tourists’gratification,positive emotion and eudaimonia,and rapport plays a partly mediating role in the influence.Apart from that the rapport has a partial mediation effect between the commodity-services interaction and tourists’gratification,and plays a completely mediating role in the impact of the commodity-services interaction on tourists’ positive emotions and eudaimonia.However,the information interaction between the hosts and guests has no significant impact on all outcome variables.Finally,according to the results of the study,some corresponding suggestions were put forward aiming at helping guest houses better provide warm services to meet the consumption needs of tourists,which has practical guiding significance for the development of guest houses.Based on the existing research results,this study focuses on the"host-guest"relationship under the unique consumption situation of guest houses,reveals the process mechanism of the impact of host-guest interaction on tourists’ happiness,and further enriches the study of host-guest interaction and tourists’happiness. |
