Land has always been an important carrier for human survival, and urban land is greatly affected by human activities and is the center of social and economic development. With the rapid development of China's urbanization process, the urban population is increasing, and the demand for urban land is increasing, and the contradiction between people and land is becoming increasingly prominent. In order to ensure the sustainable development of urban land, the research on urban land use efficiency is very Importantly, only by improving the efficiency of urban land use can we ensure the intensive use of urban land without wasting precious land resources. This paper takes 2003~2016 as the research area, selects 34 prefecture-level cities in Northeast China as the research object, and summarizes the research results of other scholars to establish an input-output index system for urban land use efficiency, taking into account non-expected factors. The improved data envelopment model is used to evaluate the urban land use efficiency of the research object by using the super-efficient SBM method.Combined with exploratory spatial data analysis, three time nodes in 2003,2010 and 2016 are selected for spatial evolution research, and the following results are obtained.:(1)The time-space difference between the input and output of each city is significant.Overall, the overall efficiency of land use has been continuously improved, and the structure of input and output has been continuously improved. Most cities have relatively high technical efficiency, relatively low scale efficiency, and comprehensive efficiency is greatly affected by scale efficiency. There is redundancy in the input indicators for all cities. The most redundant indicator is the amount of fixed asset investment. Most cities have low levels of output. The excess of industrial SO2 emissions and industrial smoke(powder)dust emissions in undesired outputs is high.Technological advances affect the main factors of total factor productivity in each city.During the study period, the land use efficiency of each city showed absolute convergence and the cities with higher initial efficiency. The growth of efficiency has gradually slowed down, and cities with low efficiency are catching up with more efficient cities, but the efficiency gap between cities will continue for a long time.(2)During the study period, the spatial pattern evolution characteristics of land use efficiency in Northeast China were significantly different, and the trends of land use efficiency were different, and the number of efficient and efficient cities was large. The urban land use efficiency in Northeast China is mainly characterized by the spatial pattern of“Northeast-Southwest”,with the focus on Changchun City. The ellipse gradually deflects from"north-southwest"to"west".The land use efficiency in the northeastern region has remained stable in the north and south, and has spread in the east-west direction.(3)The spatial correlation characteristics of land use efficiency in various cities are significant, and the spatial pattern has large inter-annual changes, showing weak stability and strong homogeneity.Spatial correlation is gradually increasing and is positively correlated.High agglomeration and low agglomeration characteristics are significant.Land use efficiency The spatial distribution of cold hotspots is large, the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of cold hotspots are significant, and the low-level spatial agglomeration is more obvious. Finally, based on the actual situation of land use efficiency in Northeast China, this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions according to local conditions,in order to promote the high efficiency and rationalization of urban land resource allocation from the perspective of space.
