Under the new situation,with the continuous upgrading of financial regulation and the cross-border competition of internet finance,many businesses and models of commercial banks have been affected,forcing banks to carry out strategic transformation of branch channels.The performance assessment of a branch is a “baton” that guides the transformation and development of the branch.Studying the performance assessment of a branch is of great significance to promote the branch channels transformation,improve the performance assessment system,and avoid the loss of high-end talents.Based on theory and the actual situation,this thesis selects the BB branch of ICBC as the research object.On the basis of the strategy of the head office,and by adopting such methods as analysis of current assessment status and assessment results in the past,interview among employees,and questionnaires,etc.,this thesis has found that the original performance assessment methods have the following problems: disconnection from strategic objectives,unreasonable classification of branches,unbalanced indicator systems,unscientific selection of indicators,inadequate use of evaluation results,inadequate publicity training and communication.Based on the above-mentioned conclusions,the classification method of core branch and satellite sites is adopted to solve the unreasonable classification of branches;refine the strategic objectives of the head office to the performance assessment indicators to solve the problem of disconnection from strategic goals;use the balanced scorecard,key performance indicators,points deduction and other ways to optimize the performance assessment indicator system,solving the unbalanced indicator system and unscientific indicator selection problems;improve the application of performance assessment results in the performance allocation,personnel promotion,and staff training to solve the ineffective use of assessment results;propose supporting measures in the implementation of the new program to solve problems such as lack of publicity training and communication.Conclusions of this study have certain practical guiding significance for the strategic transformation and performance assessment of ICBC BB branch,providing reference for similar bank performance assessment research.
