For over 30 years of reform and opening-up,our country's economy has made great development.Along with rapid development is a large number of farmers lost their survival and endowment of the land..The urbanization process,changing the traditional mode of production of Chinese farmers.According to the anticipation in The National Guidelines for Comprehensive Land Use Planning,the total area of requisitioned cultivated land will exceed 54.5 million mu(3.63 million hectares)by 2030.Consequently,an increasing number of land-lost farmers will swarm into cities,either becoming migrant workers or wanderers within the cities.Hindered by some factors including culture background,age and registered residence,many land-lost farmers fail to get employed in cities.What 's worse,most of the land-lost farmers are not able to share the benefits of urbanization development.Thus they are gradually forced to the margins of society and become one of the vulnerable groups or a new problematic group.As C hina's urban-rural dual social structure determines its dual social security system,social security of land-lost farmers is a cause for concern.To properly relocate land-lost farmers and provide insurance for their livelihood are the most important issues for researches on the current situation of social development and government policies.It is of great significance in maintaining social stability and national security to enhance systematic researches on social security for land-lost farmers and settle the social security problem of land-lost farmers.Discussions and researches on social security for land-lost farmers are conducive to the promotion of C hina 's urbanization process and sustainable development of the rural society.With improving C hina's social security system for land-lost farmers as a starting point,this thesis mainly studies C hina 's social security system from two perspectives of ensuring basic livelihood and safeguarding sustainable development of land-lost farmers.This study adopts method of comparative analysis and generalizes the experience and practice on social security for land-lost farmers from home and abroad.Through comparative analysis of different social security modes for land-lost farmers in different regions of China,this study aims to summarize and draw lessons from the useful policies,measures and experience of different regions.This thesis carries out a case study of huilong Town,Xinfeng County in the undeveloped mountainous area of Guangdong Province.Through combining theoretical research method with empirical research method,investigating living conditions,social security,Skill training and employment situation of land-lost farmers.Analysis the region land-lost farmers' social security system existing problems and reasons,land-lost farmers in the region,and puts forward the establishment of a comprehensive social security system for land-lost farmers,including endowment insurance system,medical insurance system,employment security system,social assistance system and sustainable development system.
