The Impact Of FDI On The Green Upgrading And Optimization Of Industrial Clusters

Since the 1980 s,with the strengthening of economic globalization,the transnational corporation has already become the most active,most important,most influential organization in the international activities,and sets off a worldwide upsurge of international direct investment.As the front line of China's reform and opening up,Guangdong has been the focus of foreign direct investment for 40 years.The influx of foreign direct investment has produced a large number of industrial clusters,which has made great contribution to Guangdong's economic development.However,with the development of industrial clusters,the contradiction between the extensive production,resource consumption,environmental degradation and nature has become increasingly prominent,and has brought a lot of adverse effects to the regional economic development.So how to optimize the green upgrading of industrial cluster through FDI is a big practical problem in Guangdong.This paper takes FDI and industrial cluster as main object of study,uses multidisciplinary theories combined with FDI theory and industrial cluster theory to carry out systematic research on the impact of FDI on green upgrading of industrial clusters in Guangdong with the methods of theoretical research and empirical studies,mathematical analysis and qualitative analysis.This paper is divided into six parts: the first part summarizes the background,significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and innovation;The second part reviews the related concepts and theoretical basis of FDI and industrial cluster;The third part mainly expounds the transmission mechanism of FDI for upgrading of industrial clusters;the fourth part introduces the development status of Guangdong's industrial cluster,and analyze the reason for green upgrading of industrial cluster;The fifth part is the empirical analysis,through the specific data of 21 prefecture level cities in Guangdong Province,with the help of econometric model,this paper discusses the impact of FDI on industrial cluster to the environmental quality;the sixth part is the conclusion of research and policy recommendations.Through multi-perspective analysis and argument,this paper gives the final conclusion:(1)The contribution of human capital to Guangdong's economic growth has gradually weakened.(2)Guangdong FDI has significant innovation network effect,technology spillover effect and industrial agglomeration and structure upgrade effect.(3)FDI has a significant impact on the improvement of Guangdong's environmental quality through this three effects.
