Content Analysis Of Chinese Food Safety Incidents

In recent years,food safety issues occurred frequently.On the one hand,the public awareness of food safety in our country is gradually awakening;on the other hand,there are still many problems of the food safety governance in our country,and the situation of food safety in China is still grim.Based on predecessor of the existing research results,this paper analyzes the exposed food safety incidents from 2013 to 2016,which complements the existing research,and offers suggestions on food safety governance for further food management.First of all,according to the review of literatures,we get a preliminary understanding of the present status of food safety in China.Secondly,based on the food safety incidents exposed by network media,television and other media from 2013 to 2016,we set the area,time,food types,food supply chain of each link,the nature of the offense as the main indexes of food safety incidents analysis,subdividing these indexes,then comparing with the exposed incidents from 2004 to 2012.Finally,we come to the conclusions:The overall situation of food safety in China is good;The number of food safety incidents is directly related to the level of regional economic development;The number of food safety incidents caused by human factors is increasing;Food production and operation enterprises should undertake the main responsibility for food safety incidents;The rise of online food trading platform has increased the difficulty of supervision.Based on these conclusions,we offer some suggestion:Strengthening the apanage management of food safety,perfecting the laws and regulations related to food safety;Establishing the integrity system of food enterprises,strengthening cooperation between enterprises and government;The media should report food safety incidents objectively,expanding channels of communication and protect consumers' legitimate rights and interests;Industry Association should enhance communication between consumers and food manufacturers,assisting the government to implement relevant regulations on food safety management;Consumers should take regular measures and channels to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.
