With the development of digital communication technology,the demand for communication system is booming,which mainly depends on frequency band,channel bandwidth,integration level and data processing rate.AD9364 is a high performance,highly integrated radio frequency transceiver,which operates in the 70 MHz to 6GHz range.Channel bandwidths from 200 kHz to 56 MHz are supported.It is ideal for a board range of communication applications.The digital communication system adopts QPSK modulation,using AD9364 as RF front-end,and realizing function based on FPGA.The main elements of work in this article are:1.Proposing the system design scheme according to requirements.The structure mainly includes two parts: AD9364 and FPGA,which are researched and designed separately.2.Configurating AD9364 register,designing timing and data interface.3.Designing QPSK modulation and demodulation process.Firstly,MATLAB simulation is performed for each function,and then all the functions are implemented by Verilog HDL language,which is simulated on Modelsim.4.Transplanting the project to the FPGA development board,and each function is tested one by one.Connecting AD9364 to FPGA board,and the signal can be correctly received and transmitted according to the test function of AD9364,thereby the entire QPSK digital communication system is realized.The results show that the digital communication system based on the AD9364 chip can complete RF transceiver function and the entire performance indicators of the system meet the design requirements.
