In the digital age,the level of educational informationization is constantly improving,but the teaching effect of multimedia learning resources is contrary to the original intention,and it is urgent to optimize the multimedia learning resources.Emotion has been proved to be an important factor in optimizing learning effect in many researches,but the influence of emotion is often neglected in the design of multimedia learning resources.Emotional design can affect learners' emotion by changing the characteristics of the elements in multimedia interfaces,but the mechanism and rules of emotional design affecting multimedia learning are still undetermined.In view of this,based on the practical problems,the study direction of the emotional design of multimedia interfaces is researched at home and abroad to grasp the theoretical basis and research progress.Under the guidance of the Language of Multimedia Design and Cognitive Affective Theory of Learning with Media,this study constructs the emotional design model of multimedia interfaces,and carries on the experimental research on the emotional design of graphic image elements and sound elements of multimedia interfaces,based on the color features(full-color,frame-color,no-color)and shape features(personification,non-personification)of graphic image elements,and sound features of sound elements(artificial intelligence synthetic sound,human bass tone sound,human high tone sound),the effects of emotional design on learners' learning experiences,cognitive process and learning outcomes were investigated by using multi-modal data such as questionnaire,eye movement tracking,physiological monitoring and retrospective think aloud.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The emotional design of the graphic image elements in the multimedia interfaces,compared with the “no-color” color features,under the effect of the “full or frame color” color features,learners can produce better learning experiences and cognitive process in emotion,cognitive load,learning satisfaction,eye movement behavior and EEG data,which affect the learning outcomes.Color interface is preferred in the design of multimedia interfaces.In addition,when compared with the full-color color features,frame-color color features show the advantages of facilitating the learners' early processing ofknowledge and concentration,therefore,the color features of the frame-color can be given priority in the production process.The effect of personification features is better than that of non-personification features,which can stimulate learners' positive emotion and relieve their negative emotion,and then affect their learning satisfaction and perceived achievement.The emotional design of graphic image elements can be combined with personification shape features.When color features and shape features are presented at the same time,the combination of full-color color features and anthropomorphic shape features aggravates learners' negative emotion and reduces their perceived achievement,it is suggested to select frame-color color features and personification shape features to present.2.In view of the different multimedia interfaces demand,we may select the sound features to present the commentary sound according to the actual situation.Human bass tone sound had the best effects on mental effort,learning satisfaction,concentration and learning outcomes,combined with the learners' tendency of sound features and the accuracy of judgment in the retrospective think aloud,human bass tone sound can be selected as the best explanation voice in the multimedia interfaces.The effect of artificial intelligence synthetic sound is inferior to that of human bass tone sound,combined with real production factors,artificial intelligence synthesized sound can be selected timely.Based on the experimental conclusion,two rules of emotional design in multimedia interfaces are sorted out,which enable multimedia learning resources to optimize learning outcomes from the learners' learning experiences and cognitive process under the influence of emotional design,step by step to achieve the most scientific guidance of multimedia interfaces design.
