Research On Earthquake Protection Of Cultural Relics Exhibited In Yunnan Provincial Museum

Earthquake is one of the major disasters that cause the destruction of cultural relics collected in the museums.Different from the slow process of natural corrosion,earthquake damage to the collection of cultural relics is a sudden destructive,so it is very important to improve the anti-earthquake preventive protection of cultural relics in the museums.The collection methods of cultural relics mainly include indoor storage and cultural relics' displaying.The cultural relics.in storage room are packaged in customized boxes with soft flexible materials,which are used to be against earthquake.While the precaution methods against earthquakes of the displayed cultural relics are very limited.Therefore,based on the "Code for Design of Museums"(JGJ66-2015)and "Earthquake Resistant Regulation of Cultural Relics Collected at Museum"(WW/T0069-2015),we conducts a preliminary study on the earthquake protection for cultural relics displayed at Yunnan Provincial Museum from three aspects,which are the building itself,showcases and cultural relics.The research contents include the following aspects:1?An investigation on the precautions against earthquakes of the displayed cultural relics in the Yunnan Provincial Museum has been conducted,including the building structural characteristics of Yunnan Provincial Museum,the method of cultural relics displayed and the existing precautions against earthquakes of cultural relics displayed and so forth;2?The existing precautions against earthquakes of cultural relics displayed at Yunnan Provincial Museum are investigated and assessed from the dynamic characteristics of Yunnan Provincial Museum and floor acceleration of exhibition halls through the test data analysis and calculation;3?On the basis of investigation and assessment of precautions against earthquakes of cultural relics displayed at Yunnan Provincial Museum,we put forward some suggestions on how to improve the measures against the hidden danger when earthquakes happen.Through researching from the three aspects above,this paper draws conclusions as follows:With seismic isolation technology used on the whole building of Yunnan Provincial Museum,accelerated speed of hall floor is small.For the small-size cultural relics without breakage,the existing and traditional precautions against earthquakes meet the protection needs of cultural relics displayed at Yunnan Provincial Museum.For the large-size and fragile cultural relics with poor breakage,we can combine "modern isolation technology" and "traditional precautions against earthquakes" for earthquake-resistant.This study provides a scientific basis for the application of earthquake.prevention measures for Yunnan Provincial Museum,and it is of great significance to enhance the earthquake prevention and protection of cultural relics displayed in the Yunnan Provincial Museum.
