Since the 21st century,the booming information technology and inevitable globalized economy give more and more pressure to enterprises.The development strategies of the enterprise should always accord with the changing internal and external environment.As the organizational structure is key to the realization of the company 's strategic targets,a rational organizational structure accordingly becomes the base and soul of the company's efficiency and competitiveness.As a result,the enterprise needs to optimize its structure all the time.Based upon the M-ICT evolution,a strategic transition of Z company is experiencing now,this paper studies matrix management optimization of the B product line carefully,hoping that the analysis to the management model,performance assessment and work motivation could lay a solid foundation for realizing the strategic goal which is Y25 billion revenue of the B product line in 2018.According to the theories and methods around the organization management,the paper analyzes three important issues faced by the B product line during the strategic operation transition.A new "Settlement System" based upon every sub-product is created to eliminate inefficient work caused by equal share achieved by everyone regardless of work performance;A "Budget Accountability System" is used to control resources invested in the sub-product line;And a "Bonus Clearing System" is mean to facilitate the motivation of every sub-product line and department.As PDT teams cannot directly feel c in old "little horses carrying big cart" mode,this paper suggests that project-based operating mode should be more encouraged.A "matrix transpose"structure in which the executive leader of the department also serves for the project manager makes every PDT feel the real operating pressure clearly.As to the problem that staffs should report to both the executive and project leaders when the core product operation roles(especially the marketing directors)officially join in the product operation team,this paper points out that on the basis of the general management mode of the company,B product line should select the right person as the team leaders in marketing department and take full responsibility of assessing the performance of the marketing and logistics directors.Also B product line should make good use of the company's Joint Practice Session(JPS)to deliver the operating pressure to every PDT.Finally this paper gives a brief analysis to some new problems which may occur in carrying out the matrix management optimization solution.As a typical example using organization management theories in real enterprise management flexibly,this paper is meaningful to other enterprises in the industry in setting up proper organizational structure and optimizing the matrix management.
