Centers activity is the basic activity of children in kindergartens.Children obtain experiences by interacting with materials.Therefore,the supply of materials in centers activities is directly related to children's game quality and teachers' educational strategies.Art center is the main center for children to feel,express and create beauty.Art center's materials are the carrier of children's artistic expression and artistic creation,the basis for effective activities,and the key factor for children to gain experiences,knowledge and improve their abilities.Therefore,the supply of materials in the art center is particularly important,however the supply of materials in the art center is often ignored,and has not become the focus of kindergarten education research.Taking one 5-6 age class of a kindergarten in Zhenjiang as an example,this paper makes an investigation on the material supply of art center of the class by means of observation and case analysis,reveals the problems and analyzes the reasons behind the problems.Based on this,the researcher and the teacher of the class formed a research community,adopted the method of action research to carry out a study on the material supply of the class art center,and finally solved the problem through two rounds of action research.After the action research,the whole process was reviewed and summarized,and effective suggestions were put forward for the material supply in 5-6 age class' s art center.The research include three processes.The first process is the preparation stage for action research.The class art center's material supply situation was investigated by the methods of observation and case analysis.Some problems were found such as the materials being supplied at random,the materials not being adjusted in time,and the use of materials being limited.After in-depth interviews and observation,that there were two main reasons for these problems.One was a contradiction between teachers' cognition and behavior about the material supply in the art center,and the other was that teachers' observation and reflection on the children's operating materials were not enough.Based on these,the researcher used action research to solve the problems.According to the previous analysis,the purpose of this action research is to analyze the impact of materials on children's art exploration,and then put forward the improvement strategies and methods that are conducive to children's experience of beauty,performance of beauty,and creation of beauty.Design organizational action research based on goals.The second process is the implementation stage of action research,the researcher conducted two rounds of action Research.The first round of Action Research has gone through three stages:raising teachers' awareness of materials and observation,supplying related materials around the objectives of the theme activities,and paying attention to the operation of young children andadjusting the materials in time.The results of this study reveal new problems: neglecting the development of children's aesthetic experience,and children's creativity needs to be improved.To solve the problems,the researcher designed and implemented a second round of practice.The second round of action research includes three stages: children's participation in natural materials,the perception of materials themselves to grasp the intrinsic beauty of materials,and the combination of closed and open materials to enhance children's creativity.The result is that children's aesthetic experience is enriched and children's creativity is improved.After two rounds of practice,the problem of material supply in class art center was solved,and the research goal was achieved.The third process is the action research summary reflection stage.Firstly,the researcher summarizes the implementation effect of action research.The research results showed that:observation and reflection are important prerequisites for material adjustment,appropriate materials support children's artistic creation,rich feelings and operation stimulate children's creativity and aesthetic experience,and different supply methods promote children's continuous exploration.At the same time,education suggestions are put forward from the three levels of teachers,kindergarten and parents for the supply of materials in 5-6 class' s art center.Finally,the researcher obtained an obvious professional development after the present research.
