The function concept is the key point of high school mathematics and the difficult y of teaching,the function thoughtis the foundation of the mathematics core literacyof students in the high school stage.Based on the APOS theory and concept map,this study takes the three high schools in Q ingdao as the research object,and investigates the status quo of high school students' understanding of the functionconcept.O n the data and information collected through questionnaires and interviews,with quantitative and qualitative analysis,and using the EXCEL and SPSS 21.0 software,the following conclusions were obtained:(1)From the overall point of view,the current situation of the high school students in Qingdao is mostly in the process stage,some of which have been developed to the object stage;the second year students are mostly in the object stage,and a few students have already reached the stage of the schema.The second-year students' overall understanding of the function concept is better than that of the first-year students;(2)There is no significant difference between boys and girls in understanding the function concept;(3)High school students at different levels of school have different levels of understanding of the function concept.There is no significant difference in the level of understanding of the function concept between the students of School 2 and School 3,but the students of School 1 have a better understanding of the function concept than the students of School 2 and School 3.Through the interviews of three high school mathematics teachers,the teaching status quo of high school mathematics teachers and the problems in function teaching are understood.Finally,according to the research results,the following suggestions for high school function concept teaching are given:(1)Change the traditional teaching methods and set up reasonable teaching scenarios;(2)Emphasis on the development of mathematical models,emphasizing the abstract process of the function concept;(3)Strengthen the establishment of the functional knowledge system,focusing on inductive reflection;(4)Arouse students' interest in learning from multiple angles and pay attention to the infection of mathematics culture;(5)Improve teachers' professional quality and pay attention to the penetration of mathematical thinking methods.
