Parents' participation in school management is an inevitable requirement for promoting the development of students and promoting school education.A large number of studies on parental involvement have focused on schools in urban areas. In fact, the participation of parents in urban areas has gradually improved in theory and practice, but rural schools have become the marginalization of researchs. With the attention of the party and the government to rural, peasant and agricultural issues, the vision of educational studies have gradually shifted to rural schools. At present, the amount of researches on the participation of parents in traditional rural schools located in the central and western regions in China is increasing, but the researchers haven't focus on parents' participation in rural schools in the east of China or they classify eastern rural schools into traditional rural schools. However, such a generalized approach is unscientific. In the 1970s,the decollectivization of agriculture and the opening up of the country led to the continued growth of the rural economy in the east, such as the improvement of living conditions for residents, the adequate funding for education in rural schools, and the improvement of the quality of education for the new generation of rural parents. The education investment of children has also increased, and we can no longer use traditional eyes to look at the eastern rural schools in the new era.In the new era, parents' participation of rural schools in the eastern part in China have been freed from the obstacles caused by left-behind children, preferring boys to girls, time and space constraints, etc. But they are followed by new problems, such as the loss of local students and the diversity of parents. It is even more necessary for us to conduct a detailed analysis of parental involvement in rural schools in the east. This study selects a typical middle school in eastern part of China——C school, through the collection of data to understand the local economic development, including regional GDP,per capita income and consumer spending, etc. In this way, readers are clear about the overall situation of economic development in eastern rural areas and can better understand some of the phenomena that have occurred in the process of parental involvement.Through interviews and questionnaire surveys,I understand the current situation of parents' participation in school management and analyze them from subjective cognition and practice status respectively. Then I summarize problems existing in parents' participation in C school.According to these,I make recommendations on the parental participation of rural schools in eastern China from three aspects:clarifying the role of both schools and parents, promoting the operation of the internal mechanism of the school and creating external conditions for the school.Although the urbanization trend in the rural areas in the east is obvious, there is still a big gap between the cities and the cities. It is not feasible to copy the urban model. It is necessary to consider the reality of rural society and develop the road of parental participation with rural characteristics in the east.
