The carbon-carbon bond in the benzene molecule is a unique chemical bond between the carbon-carbon single bond and the carbon-carbon double bond.How do you recognize this unique chemical bond? This involves a shift in the concept of a chemical bond,from a stable carbon-carbon single bond,a carbon-carbon double bond to another stable chemical bond,the delocalized?bond.The knowledge of the structure,properties and applications of benzene is closely linked to science,technology,engineering and mathematics.It can be said that the teaching of benzene from the perspective of STEM can promote students' knowledge of the construction of delocalized?bond in benzene molecules.This study analyzes the knowledge of benzene from the perspective of STEM.According to the requirements and procedures of conceptual transformation,this paper proposes the idea of POEIA teaching design in the STEM field of view,develops the teaching design case of“benzene”,and conducts teaching practice research.This study first comb and review related literature of STEM,POEIA,clarify the concept and connotation of the STEM,determine POEIA concept teaching of teaching design thinking;Starting from STEM teaching requirements,this paper reviews the teaching procedures of POEIA concept teaching and determines the teaching design ideas of POEIA inquiry teaching to promote concept change from STEM perspective.Based on the existing knowledge and experience of students,a pre-test questionnaire of benzene was prepared,and 420 students in senior one of an ordinary high school in shandong province were taken as the research object.The content of benzene chemistry teaching materials was interpreted from the STEM perspective.Based on the teaching design idea of POEIA in STEM perspective,the teaching design case of benzene was developed.The above 420 students were taken as research objects to carry out teaching practice.In order to test the practical effect of the teaching design,a post-test questionnaire of benzene was prepared,the research objects were tested,the research data were collected and processed,and SPSS21.0 software was used to manage and analyze the data.Research shows:(1)Carrying out the STEM field of view with POEIA inquiry teaching,can promote students' learning of benzene knowledge.(2)Knowledge of the properties and energy of alkanes and olefins can promotethe study of the unique carbon-carbon chemical bonds of benzene.Innovations in this study:Firstly,the teaching design idea of POEIA inquiry teaching promotion concept transformation under the STEM field of view is proposed,which provides a new method for future research on teaching design.Secondly,the pre-test and post-test questionnaires on benzene knowledge have been compiled,which provides a new tool for the future research and development of benzene.
