Research On The Connotation And Construction Path Of Urban Memory

Since the beginning of the 1990 s,when Feng Jicai took the lead in setting up the protection of Tianjin Old Street,cities in the country set off the “City Memory Project”.The study of city memory was initially active only in relevant departments and fields of archival science.In recent years,it has received attention in various fields.This is related to the destruction of urban cultural relics and the destruction of urban renewal in the process of urbanization and urban renewal.The big cities are the same,the destruction of urban heritage,the disappearance of urban characteristics,and the decline of urban culture have led citizens to find identity and spiritual belonging in the city.This paper is divide into three parts: introduction,test and conclusion.The introduction mainly explains the origin of the topic,literature review and innovation of research methods.Text mainly concludes four main parts,firstly,by combing the development of memory culture,this paper describes the research status of memory research from the field of psychology to the field of sociology and culture,to the status of memory research under globalization and digitization.At the same time,it has inspired the study of urban memory: strengthening the study of urban memory theory,paying attention to the cultural memory of the city,paying attention to the influence of the movement of modern technological logic on city memory.Second,from three dimensions explore the core connotation of urban memory: city history is the basis of city memory: city memory in the city can improve the city's history,enrich the city's culture,and highlight the city's characteristics.In the city,citizens can enhance their sense of belonging to the city.Therefore,the purpose of city memory is to create identity.Then,take Qingdao,Xi'an,Shenyang,Chengdu,Shanghai and other cities as example,by analyzing the way of urban memory construction: archival preservation to construct city memories,special museums to construct urban memories,protect ancient buildings,and cultural relics,etc.Investigate China's current experience in city memory construction,reflect on its shortcomings,and based on this,propose historical paths of historical archives,cultural studies,social work,planning and construction,etc.towards city memory construction.Finally,taking the memory of Shanghai Ferry as an example,we sort out the development history of Shanghai Ferry,explore the dominant memory elements and hidden memory elements of Shanghai Ferry,and clarify the value of ferry memory for Shanghai and Shanghai residents.Summarize the experience of Shanghai Ferry's memory construction,reflect on its shortcomings,and make suggestions for the construction of Shanghai Ferry's memory.In order to provide reference for Shanghai's urban development,it also echoes the theoretical research in the previous article.
