Research On Civic Awareness Education In Ideological And Political Courses In Senior Middle Schools

Civic consciousness is an important consciousness of modern citizens.With the continuous improvement of socialist modernization process,especially the convening of the Nineteenth National Congress,people pay more and more attention to civic consciousness.Civic consciousness has gradually become the inherent requirement of socialist modernization.Senior high school students are in a critical period of continuous development of world outlook,outlook on life and values.Citizenship education has become the main task of Ideological and political education in senior high school.Political teachers also shoulder the important responsibility of cultivating a qualified citizen with citizenship.How to effectively educate students’ civic awareness in high school ideological and political education has become one of the important topics in the educational circles.In this study,questionnaire survey and interview were used to investigate the current situation of citizenship education of senior high school students in China.Through data analysis,the author finds that there are four problems in civic awareness education of senior high school students,including vague content of civic education and weak civic awareness;uneven level of teachers,low political efficacy;outdated and conservative teaching methods,poor teaching effect;lack of civic awareness practice and corresponding environment.In view of the problems existing in civic awareness education at the present stage,four strategies are put forward,which are in line with the civic awareness education in senior high school.They are to improve teachers’ civic awareness literacy and enhance the level of civic awareness education,to pay attention to the development and utilization of curriculum resources,to optimize the content of civic awareness education,to improve classroom teaching methods and methods,to enhance the effect of civic awareness education,and to improve the extracurricular practice teaching circle.Fifth,consolidate the effect of civic awareness education.
