Reading is a constant part of life,good reading ability is the basis of learning other subjects well.Only by cultivating students’ reading ability can students master other knowledge faster.Skimming text teaching is an important way to cultivate students’ reading ability.Under the moderate guidance of teachers,the methods and skills learned by students in intensive reading texts are consolidated and practiced in skimming texts.However,in real teaching,many teachers are vague about the idea of skimming texts teaching,failure to recognize the nature of skimming texts teaching is cultivate students’ independent reading ability and make some misunderstandings in skimming text teaching.So,I chose to study the skimming text teaching in primary school.This article mainly uses the literature method,classroom observation method,interview method and case analysis method,analysis and exploration on the theory and practice level of skimming text teaching in primary school.The paper is divided into four parts: the first is an overview of Chinese skimming texts teaching in primary schools.It mainly defines the related concepts,combs the properties,functions and characteristics of skimming text teaching systematically.The second is investigate the present situation of the skimming texts teaching in Jinan S primary school by using classroom observation and interview methods during my practice period.It mainly carries out classroom observation from three dimensions:teachers’ teaching,students’ studying and the classroom culture.The third is find the problems in the skimming texts teaching in primary schools and analysis the causes of the problems through the present situation of the skimming texts teaching in Jinan S primary school,the problems include: teachers’ awareness of class type is weak and teaching efficiency is low;teaching objectives’ orientation is inaccurate and lack of manipulation;the teaching mode does not accord with the characteristics of skimming text teaching;teachers’ over-controlled the classroom,students’ subjective status is absent.I hold that the reasons for the above four problems are that teachers inadequate formulation of teaching objectives for skimming texts;lack of correctunderstanding of the orientation of skimming texts;lack of theoretical guidance for skimming texts teaching and influenced by traditional teaching methods.The fourth is the corresponding suggestions for the four aspects of the problems.I consulted a large number of famous teachers about skimming text teaching examples,analyzed its success,and put forward specific operational suggestions in view of the existing problems in primary school skimming text teaching: pay attention to students’ development,pointing to the improvement of reading ability;teaching without definite method,exploring different teaching paradigms;strengthen the interaction between teachers and students to highlight the subject status of students;strengthen the training of teachers and strengthen the research of skimming texts teaching.Skimming text teaching has received less attention from teachers.I hope that the relevant research of primary school Chinese skimming text teaching can provide help to primary school front-line teachers’ teaching. |
