Physics experiment has the educational value of stimulating students' interest and thirst for knowledge,creating physical learning situations,developing students'abilities,cultivating students' scientific attitude and spirit.Physical experiment ability is an essential skill for physics teachers.The low cost experiment is an important part of the physics experiment.According to the essence of physics,high school physics curriculum standards,the present situation of physics experiment teaching in middle school in China,the present situation of pre service physics teachers' experimental ability and the basic situation of the curriculum of "physics curriculum standards and teaching materials in middle school",In this paper,a series of low cost experimental activities are carried out with pre service physics teachers as the research object,combined with questionnaire survey and evaluation scale.The purpose is to train low cost experimental ability of pre service physics teachers,and to provide suggestions for universities to cultivate low cost experimental ability of normal students,so as to provide reference for normal students and middle school physics teachers to design and utilize low cost experiments.First of all,according to the basic concept of "low cost experiment" and"physical experiment ability",low cost experimental ability refers to the comprehensive embodiment of the consciousness,thinking ability and operational ability of physical experiments using cheap materials such as living materials and articles.Secondly,based on the low cost experimental capability structure and referring to relevant literature,a low cost test questionnaire is compiled.Based on the low cost experiment schoolwork and the existing low cost experiment evaluation list,the low cost experimental evaluation scale is developed.After analysis,the low cost experiment questionnaire and the low cost experimental evaluation scale have good reliability and validity.Then,under the cooperation of the undergraduate students of the 2015 level physics teachers in a normal university,using the the curriculum of "physics curriculum standards and teaching materials in middle school" as a media,,the author carried out a pre test of low cost experimental ability to normal students at the beginning of the semester.In 3 months,the normal students watched and experienced 22 low cost classroom demonstration experiments and the physical experiment competition competed with low cost experiment as the content.They also finished a low cost experiment schoolwork and then displayed it to others which included scoring links.Finally,the author also carried out a post test of low cost experimental ability to normal students.Through the above practice,the author collects a set of“low cost physics experiment set",which contains many excellent low cost physics experiments,which can be provided for normal students to learn from each other and middle school physics teachers to refer to.The scores of the pre and post test data and the low cost experiment work were analyzed,and the conclusions were summarized according to the practical results.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The low cost experimental ability of normal students has been significantly improved under the teaching intervention;(2)The low cost experimental consciousness of normal students is generally higher than the thinking and operation ability;(3)There is no significant correlation between low cost experimental ability and gender,and girls had a slight advantage;(4)There is no significant correlation between low cost experimental ability and professional class performance.Further thinking and summing up:(1)Suggestions on cultivating low cost experimental ability for pre service physics teachers:a.Using a variety of low cost experimental activities,the low cost experimental ability of normal students can be cultivated.b.We should focus on cultivating the low cost experimental thinking ability and operation ability of normal students,c.Consider and face gender differences.d.Break through the thinking set of professional achievements.(2)The production of excellent low cost experiment:a.Experimental innovation.b.Careful selection and production,c.Principle of internalization experiment.d.Standard experiment operation and display.
