Abstract/Summary:
High school argumentative writing is an important and difficult part in Chinese teaching.Chinese teachers spend lots of time on the theories about argumentative writing without analyzing students’ actual writing situation,ignoring the practical difficulties students meet when writing.As a result,students find it difficult to write argumentative writing.Thus,their thinking ability and quality will be difficult to improve in the long run.In order to deal with the problem,“Microminiaturization” theory should be applied in high school argumentative writing teaching with specific course goals.Teachers should focus on the difficulties students encounter in writing,develop miniaturized content and prove practical learning scaffolding,satisfying students’ actual writing needs and improving their writing ability in a short period of time.When “Microminiaturization” is applied in teaching,the following steps are suggested.First,analyze students “micro” writing situation;second,set a “micro” teaching goal,develop “micro” teaching content,and design a “micro” scaffolding;third,provide “micro” encouragement to help students deal with the difficulties they meet in writing argumentative writing,so that the level of teaching can be improved eventually.
