| In recent years,Chinese geographical education in senior high school was led by the root task of“ethics establishment and people cultivation" that was proposed by fully implementing deep curriculum reform both on college entrance examination reform and cultivation of core quality.Project-based learning means an investigation teaching model with knowledge and behavior integration,which has been applied in foreign education and teaching widely with obvious advantage in cultivating students’21 century skills.But in China,project-based learning just begin to develop in primary education field as well as its application in senior geographical teaching.project-based learning connect study and life,which suggests challenging and complex issues related to life.Students will go into social life with investigation and cooperation that promote them to study and complete the project works of teaching objective.This is consistent with the autonomous,cooperative and inquiry learning methods advocated by geographical curriculum standard.Therefore,there is study value of combing project-based learning and geographical teaching in senior high school.On account of this,firstly,based on previous studies on project-based learning,this paper explains the notion and composition of project-based learning by document integration method.It also compares the models of project-based learning and traditional teaching model for displaying the merits of project-based learning and demonstrating the value of project-based learning.Then according to philosophy,educational psychology and pedagogy of geological curriculum,and following the design principles of project-based learning,the paper designs an application project-based learning of senior high school geology emphasizing the issues of project design.At last,it applying the designed model in two different kinds of lessons of new and review lessons of senior high school geology.To evaluate the implementation effect of cases by case analysis and questionnaire survey methods.The study achieves the following results:(1)An application project-based learning model of senior high school geology has been designed,which follows the principles of focusing on students,connecting theory with reality,combing science and innovation,discipline guidance.It integrates the special characteristics of geological discipline into general project-based learning model,which composing a teaching model of three stages,including preparation,implementation and evaluation that can be implemented.(2)It supplies cases reference of project-based learning conducting in new and review lessons in senior high school geology.In new lessons,taking Development Study of Hubei Urbanization as project topic,the teaching case focuses on demonstrating the regular application procedures of the project learning model.The case verifies the established appropriate teaching model.In review lessons,taking Topic Review of Ocean Current as project topic,another teaching case uses regular review to concentrate on application field of innovative project learning.(3)The effectiveness of project-based learning applying in geological teaching has been proved by teaching practice.As an investigation teaching model,applying project-based learning in teaching can promote teachers and students to change their traditional teaching ideas,cultivate students ’ geographical core quality,achieve geographical three-dimensional purpose and establish multiple geological evaluation system. |
