Thematic activities are activities and exchanges between students and teachers,students and students based on a certain topic as a clue.Learning activities are designed in accordance with themes.In the process of completing the tasks of the thematic activities,the teachers can train students’ basic skills,such as collection,processing,and publication in order to complete the teaching objectives,improve the students’ learning ability and improve their information literacy.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop school-based textbooks based on thematic activities for information technology.This article takes L School’s development and design of the school-based teaching material for information technology in elementary schools as an example,and mainly covers the following work:Firstly,collect research materials related to thematic activities and school-based textbooks,analyze and discuss the meaning of thematic activities as well as the theory and practice of school-based textbook development to provide theoretical support for research and clarify the purpose and significance of textbook development.Secondly,set the outline of school-based textbooks.According to the actual situation of the school and the students,the teachers should optimize the themes,determine the content carrier,select information technology knowledge points,design textbook styles,and compile the textbooks with specific and detailed materials.Thirdly,implement and evaluate the textbooks.In the sixth grade of L primary school,the experimental teaching work of school-based textbooks was conducted.The method of action research was used to observe and reflect the use of school-based textbooks by students and teachers.The pros and cons of school-based textbooks were summarized and then textbooks were revised and improved.Through the experimental comparison method and the questionnaire method,the implementation effect of school-based textbooks was evaluated.The compiler reflected and revised the textbooks from both students and teachers’ feedbacks,thus further improving the development of textbooks.Fourthly,analyze and reflect.The research results were organized and analyzed,and the achievements and existing problems in the development and implementation of school-based textbooks were analyzed.The directions for the revision and improvement of school-based textbooks were defined,and the prospects for future teaching work and reforms were forecasted.
