With the rapid development of modern information technology,knowledge updating is accelerating and increasing explosively.Virtual Learning Community(VLC),which is one of the main forms of online learning,is becoming more and more popular because it provides learners with abundant learning and research resources and convenient communication platform.VLC has been widely used in educational practice.Learners are the main participants in the virtual learning community,and the study of learners’ learning style plays an important role in promoting the development of online learning.Which learning style is best fitted for the instructional approaches used by VLC? How do different learning styles affect students’ learning performance in VLC? This study explores the impact of learning styles on learning performance in virtual learning communities.This study selected the learners of Qufu Normal University learning science and technology virtual learning community as the survey objects and used literature research,questionnaire survey and other research methods to conduct research.Based on the literature analysis of learning styles and learning performances of domestic and foreign related learners,the research background,current situation,purpose and significance of the content were explained.Then based on the classical theory,the concept of virtual learning community,learning styles and learning performances were defined.Through the study of the existing learning style measurement table,Kolb Empirical Learning Theory and Honey & Mumford Learning Style Theory,four dimensions of learning style were selected as the independent variables: activist,reflector,theorist,and pragmatists.The interaction behavior and academic self-efficacy were proposed as the mediators of the effect of learning style on learning performance.Summarized four dimensions of learning outcomes,learning attitudes,learning ability,and learning satisfaction as learning performance.And then this study provided the hypothesis of the relationship between the learning styles and learning performance,and also set up the structure model among learning styles and learning performance.The SPSS20.0 and AMOS21.0 statistical software were used to carry out the reliability analysis,factor analysis and structural equation analysis of the questionnaire data,and the structural model was tested and modified according to the analysis results.According to the results of data analysis,the research conclusions are drawn,and suggestions for improving the learning performance of learners in the virtual learning community are also given.The results of this study show that the theorist and pragmatist have a greater impact on learning performance than activist and reflector.The interaction behavior and academic self-efficacy in the virtual learning community play an intermediary role in the effect of the theorist and the pragmatist on the learning performance.And only the interaction behavior acts as an intermediary in the influence of the activist on the learning performance.It is only academic self-efficacy that plays a mediating role in the process of the reflector on the performance of the learners.
