Universalizing high school education is the need to build a country with strong human resources,the need to improve the quality of the people,and the need to build a well-off society in an all-round way.The report of the Nineteenth Congress proposed to universalize high school education and strive to ensure that every child can enjoy fair and quality education.To optimize the senior high school education structure,the "National Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan Outline(2010-2020)" pointed out that the proportion of enrollment in ordinary high schools and secondary vocational schools should be reasonably determined according to the needs of social and economic development,and the overall period of time should be maintained;and the overall enrollment scale of ordinary high school and secondary vocational schools will remain roughly the same in the next period.However,after investigation,it is found that the current development and scale of general education and vocational education in high school education in China are extremely uneven.The direct reason is that the high school students have different educational choices.After graduating from junior high school,most students will choose the general high school as the best choice.Only a small number of students will choose secondary vocational schools.What causes the high school students to make different educational choices,especially those in the senior middle school district?This requires in-depth investigation and investigation of the factors affecting the educational choices of senior high school students in the county,thus contributing to the universalization of high school education in China.In this research,the literature analysis method is used to sort out the current research data on the selection of senior high school students in our county,and to study and understand the relevant policies on popularizing high school education.On this basis,this study takes the intergenerational transmission of cultural capital in sociology of education as the starting point,based on the perspective of Bourdieu's cultural capital theory,and uses questionnaires and interviews to obtain first-hand information on student's selection status information about two schools in J County.(an ordinary middle school and a secondary vocational school).Through analysis of questionnaires and interview results and an independent sample test of the survey data,the factors influencing the student's education choice at the senior high school stage in J County were summarized.The research draws the following conclusions:(1)Concrete cultural capital has a great influence on the educational selection of high school students in JY County.The cultural capital of parents,relatives and neighbors has a significant impact on the educational choices of JY students.However,relatively speaking,the influence of cultural capital in the parents' field is the greatest,and parents' attitudes towards ordinary middle schools and secondary vocational schools are the most important and critical factors.(2)Objectified cultural capital(the family's cultural environment)has a certain influence on the educational choices of high school students in JY County.The objective capital of J Middle School students is slightly higher than that of students in J Vocational School.(3)Institutionalized cultural capital has a great influence on the educational choices of high school students in JY County.The educational level and career of the family will influence the choice of ordinary high school or secondary vocational school for students in J County.Therefore,based on the above factors,the researcher puts forward suggestions and countermeasures in three stages:improving the attractiveness of vocational education,promoting general coordination and accommodation,raising parents'cultural capital,and transforming educational concepts,so that senior high school students at the county level can make rational educational choices to promote the healthy development of high school education in China.
