With the development of education in the new era,the key competency has become a hot word.It is an opportunity for education in the northwest,but there are also many challenges.In addition to responding to the current core education concept,curriculum construction also needs to highlight its essential nationality in view of the coexistence of multi-ethnicity and multi-culture of the field characteristic.Therefore,how to construct the curriculum system in Northwest ethnic areas under the guidance of the key competency has become a problem that needs to be solved.Therefore,in order to make students in Northwest ethnic areas reach a new height in their promotion of various aspects and promote the long-term development of individuals,it is necessary to integrate specific problems in the development of curriculum in certain empirical investigations,and then,on the basis of the analysis of status quo,explore the construction plan on curriculum reform and specific curriculum system that are suitable for the local characteristics of the Northwest ethnic areas.This is not only the trend of social development,but also its own needs of the Northwest ethnic areas.This paper attempts to use this idea as a starting point,combing the structure of the paper from the following aspects with the expectation of coming up with some thoughts and explorations for the curriculum reform based on key competencies in the Northwest ethnic areas.Introduction,this paper showed the background of the research from four aspects,and sorted out and integrated the relevant research literature with key words such as"key competencies"?"northwest ethnic areas" and "curriculum",and also made necessary explanations for related core concepts.Under the support of multiple research methods,this paper established a specific research idea and framework based on the further determination of research significance and research objectives and gave some necessary instructions on the key?difficult and innovative aspects of this paper.Chapter one attempts to explain the presented state of the school curriculum system based on key competencies from four aspects:objective,content,implementation and evaluation of the curriculum.It is found that the construction of the curriculum system of key competencies put more emphasis on the cultivation of students' knowledge,ability and attitude and values.It also shows its own characteristics in the process of selection,setting,and organization of curriculum content.In the course of curriculum implementation,basic principles and orientations should also be followed and much more attention should be paid to the multiple curriculum evaluation system that combines subjects,content,and methods.Chapter two chose some schools in Shapotou District,Zhongwei City,Ningxia as a case study and conducted a field survey and analyzed on the current situation of curriculum implementation in this area.The study showed that there were some problems in curriculum construction in this area,such as simplified curriculum structure,out-dated curriculum implementation,grade-stressed curriculum evaluation.Besides,there were still some deficiencies in the cultivation of students' scientific spirit,responsibility,practice and innovation,which closely related to the local economic development,ethnic atmosphere,curriculum consciousness and students' basic knowledge level.According to the case study of Shapotou District in Ningxia,Chapter three concluded the construction methods of the school curriculum system based on the development of students' key competencies in northwest ethnic areas as follows:the construction of the school curriculum system in the northwest areas should be guided directly towards the development of students' key competencies and the curriculum objectives on the basis of the original one should be reoriented;the curriculum structure should be improved actively and the content should be enriched;and make appropriate reform and innovation of curriculum implementation;carry out independent and open curriculum management;of course,It is also necessary to change the examination-oriented evaluation method and to reshape the curriculum evaluation.The fourth chapter,in order to effectively implement the school curriculum system based on students' key competencies in northwest ethnic areas,we must carry on the necessary protection mechanism construction.The paper attempts to establish a relatively complete curriculum guarantee system from the macro,meso,and micro levels:the development of school curriculum can not be separated from the support of education funds and educational policies based on the national macro level;it can not be separated from the policy implementation and advanced technology and other help based on the meso-level;and it cannot be separated from the micro level:the professional teachers and the necessary learning resources support provided by school and the supporting role of family education in the school curriculum construction.In a word,the development of school education adapted to the northwest minority area is the call of the times,the development of students and the prosperity and strength of the nation.Therefore,the construction of school curriculum system based on key competencies plays an indelible role in the overall education in Northwest,which is the significance of this paper.
