Research On Influencing Factors And Countermeasures Of Smoking Behavior Of Students In Vocational Colleges

The purpose of our research is to investigate the current situation of the youthful students’smoking behavior in the higher vocational colleges and to analyze the factors affecting it,to explore the effective ways to keep them away from the smoking behavior,to set the control strategies and to provide the theoretical basis for establishing smoke-free campuses.According to the characteristics of the youthful students and the campus management mode in the higher vocational colleges,we distributed the questionnaires to 2571 students from the three grades and all of the majors in four higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province were selected by the stratified cluster random sampling method.In our research,2474 valid questionnaires were distributed,with an effective rate of 96.2%.The results show that the smoking behavior accounts for 38.6%of the youthful students in the higher vocational colleges.The influencing factors of smoking behavior of vocational college students include individual factors,family factors,school factors and social factors,The smoking behavior of vocational college students is significantly different in gender.The smoking rate of male students is significantly higher than that of female students;The results showed that the smoking students’ smoking resistance was significantly lower than that of the non-smoking students;The higher the students’ monthly living expenses,the more likely they are to smoke;Under the family democratic way of education,students’ smoking behavior is less;The smoking rate of students with good academic performance is relatively low;Students who smoke have more smoking companions;The better the implementation of the school’s smoking ban mechanism,the lower the smoking rate of students.According to the survey results,this study puts forward the following suggestions:to strengthen the guidance of students’ internal factors,that is,to strengthen the ideological and political education and mental health education of higher vocational students,to strengthen the control of external factors,to improve the family’s awareness of tobacco control,to establish the correct "money view" of students,to adopt a democratic and scientific way of education,and to improve the school’s tobacco control management mode We should do a good job in teacher’s tobacco control,in the guidance of "smoking circle of friends",in the guidance of students to become the main body of tobacco control,and in the social aspect,we should advocate smokeless life in the whole society.
