| Social progress is the eternal pursuit of mankind.The material achievements created by industrial civilization have greatly improved people’s living conditions,but at the same time,there are various phenomena that are not conducive to the sustainable health of society.Environmental pollution ecological destruction moral decline and urban expansion all reflect the deviation of the concept of human social development which urges people to start to reflect on the understanding of social progress.In the new era,China is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.Marx and Engels’ view of social progress,as a correct understanding reflecting the development trend of human society,can realize the social master with Chinese characteristics for the Communist Party of China.The great cause of righteousness and the historical mission of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation provide scientific guidance.This paper is mainly based on the theoretical overview and systematic analysis of Marx and Engels’ view of social progress,and on this basis discusses the further deepening and development of this theory in contemporary China.The first part of the paper expounds the ideological basis of Marx and Engels’ view of social progress,including the Renaissance,Enlightenment and utopian socialists’ understanding of social development.This paper expounds the main contents of Marx and Engels’ view of social progress from five aspects of the connotation,subject,motive force,clue and evaluation of social progress;in the third part of the thesis,it combs the biography of Marxism.After entering China,the theory of social progress combined with Chinese practice and its influence on Chinese practice.Social progress is not only a theoretical problem but also a practical problem.It is beneficial to enrich and develop Marxist theory to guide Chinese practice with Marx and Engels’ view of social progress and its theoretical achievements in China.It also helps people to correctly understand and solve all kinds of contradictions and problems in the process of social development and social progress. |
