Cultivation Of Farmers' Public Spirit Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization

Since the reform and opening up policy was carried out and the market economic system was gradually established in China,along with the development of urban and rural economy,domestic rural society also is undergoing a transition from traditional society to modern society.So confronted with a new change for the development in Chinese rural areas,it is extremely crucial to further explore these issues concerning contemporary Chinese farmers in the cultivation of public spirit.In the process of balancing urban and rural development,great changes have taken place in Chinese rural society.On the one hand,the rural economy has made a great progress when the farmers’ material standard of living has been improved increasingly,which is conducive to the realization of the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.On the other hand,the rapid development in rural society is more likely to promote the expansion of the rural public life,so as to give rise to a lot of problems.Such as it contributes to a negative impact on the traditional ideologies and cultural views rooted in country society and rural moral opinion and generates a poor sense of identification and belongings to farmers,a weak consciousness of public participation and a poor sense of social responsibility.This paper studies the cultivation of farmers’ public spirit under the background of rural revitalization.In addition to the “ introduction”and “conclusion”,the thesis is divided into four parts as follows: The first part is an overview of the public spirit and rural revitalization.In this part,this article elaborates the meaning of the public spirit,the essential composition structure and basic characteristics.It also illustrates t1 he background of the rural revitalization strategy and the specific requirements for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.The second part talks about the internal relationship between the rural revitalization and the farmer cultivation with public spirit: On the one hand,cultivating the public spirit of farmers is the demand for rural revitalization.The former one mainly requires these aspects such as cultivating a common shared village community with farmers’ love and supports,showing concerns about and taking participation in village public affairs,affording village public interests,standing by each other,dedicating themselves with cooperation and mutual assistance act as public spirit.On the other hand,the public spirit of peasants has important practical significance for rural revitalization.The latter one is mainly reflected in the fact that cultivating farmers’ public spirit is conducive to optimizing farmers’ values and comprehensive qualities,to the development of rural public undertakings,to the realization of ecological livability,to the promotion of rural culture,and to the improvement of rural governance.The third part is the absence of the current public spirit of farmers and its causes.It points out some problems is actually occurring such as,farmers lack a sense of identification and belongings.Rural moral public opinion weakens.Farmers have little sense of participation andlack of concern for public affairs.Farmers have a weak sense of social responsibility and lack of recognition and maintenance of public interests.These problems are likely to result in such as follows: the mobility and dispersion of rural society,the decline of farmers’ collective economy,the reduction of farmers’ public activity space,the backward development of rural folk organizations and the deepening of rural marketization.The fourth part puts forward the specific countermeasures to cultivate the public spirit of farmers under the background of rural revitalization.There are six strategies as follows.Guide a rational flow of farmers and strengthen the cohesion of rural society;make rural culture prosperous and booming,presenting a new look;develop and strengthen the rural collective economy and cultivate a spirit of peasant collectivism;enhance and strengthen rural non-governmental organizations and cultivate farmers’ public and civic awareness.To accelerate the development of rural public utilities and expand farmers’ public activity space;We will ensure the healthy development of the rural market economy and enhance farmers’ sense of social responsibility.
