Aesthetic Research Of The Chinese Character "Yu"

Xu Shen interpreted "Yu" in Origin of Chinese Characters as �Raising a child to develop in good ways�,which is inconsistent with the basic meaning of "Yu" in the earlier text.Back at the beginning of the creation of Chinese characters,the oracle bone inscription of "Yu" described the scene where the baby with bloody water had just turned upside down from the mother's belly,the original meaning of which is to give birth.The intense attention to life-giving expressed by the word "Yu" has been social and religious from the beginning.After long-term preservation and accumulation,this intense attention has become a very strong cultural structure and psychological strength,which is the focus of Chinese culture,and in the literary aspect directly affects Chinese literary creation and literary criticism.With the evolution of Chinese characters,the word "Yu" has extended the meaning of parenting and education,and most of the meaning of the word "Yu" is carried by its variant word "Yu",while "Yu" is now only used in personal names and fixed words.From figurative birth scenes to abstract parenting and education meanings,the way word "Yu" viewing objects embodies ancient Chinese philosophy to grasp objects through physical experience,and to construct a pattern of thinking based on physical characteristics and body behavior,this way of thinking has the characteristics of transcendence.Under the perspective of the aesthetics of Chinese characters,this article combines the shape and meaning of the word "Yu",restores the original context of the word "Yu",and explores the rich aesthetic connotation of the word "Yu" and its influence on the Chinese culture structure.This article believes that the original ancestors' development of the aesthetics of the human body has evolved from pure utilitarian and practical purposes,from simply emphasizing the beauty of the vitality expressed by the reproductive organs,to the emphasis on the sexual charm of the whole body;From the beauty of life shown by fertility,to the intuitive way of thinking of the beauty of life shown by morality,it contains an aesthetic tendency of the unity of beauty and goodness,and it is premised on "goodness".This emphasis and worship of life makes the Chinese aesthetically focus on the experience of the subject of life,thinking that all things in the world are living,and that man and nature are in a dynamic harmony,so Chinese people often use an optimistic and positive Attitude to get along with nature,to live with others.
