A Study Of Foreign Words In The "Fang Guang Guang Zhuang Yan Jing" Based On Sanskrit And Chinese Collation

Built on the Sanskrit-Chinese comparison,this paper makes an exhaustive study of the foreign words in Dipoheluo's translation of the FangGuangDazhuangYanJing????????by comparing the parallel Sanskrit text lalitavistara(?) compiled by the Indian scholar P.L.vaidya in 1958.The paper is divided into four chapters.The introduction part of the first chapter mainly expounds the reasons for the selection of topics,the current situation of research and related research methods and contents.The second chapter discusses the borrowing methods of 743 foreign words in Fang.In the methods of borrowing,there are 687 loan words and 56 calque words.There are 273 transliterated words and 414 hybird words of loan words.The average number of syllables for 743 foreign words is 3.38,with double,three and four syllables dominated.Transliterated words either simplify syllables based on Sanskrit pronunciation or are made entirely according to Sanskrit pronunciation.Through the Sanskrit-Chinese comparison,we have different understandings of the words "sectional translation" and "full translation".There is a difference in the arrangement of the combination of "tone" and "meaning",wherein the "tone and meaning" type has more possession,in addition to the "meaning and tone and meaning" and "tone and meaning" style.By surveying the original Sanskrit words corresponding to the parallel Sanskrit text,we also have a new understanding of the calque words by analyzing the morphological structure and internal form of sanskrit primitive words.The third chapter discusses the word type and structure of foreign words in Fang.In terms of words,because of the introduction of new things,to nouns in the majority,there are 695,the category expressed rich.In terms of structure,there are 470 synthetic words and 273 simple words.In synthetic words,in the formal majority,and in the partial formal structure,the combination of nouns and nouns occupies the most,this phenomenon is affected by the Sanskrit original language.The fourth chapter discusses the retention of foreign words in modern Chinese in Fang,with the Chinese Dictionary as a reference,743 foreign words have 181 retentions,the retention ratio is 24.4%.In addition,these foreign words in the Chinese Dictionary also have different characteristics.
