Comparison Of Soynnyms Of Measure Words With Teaching Of Chinese As A Foreign Language

Modern Chinese is rich in measure words and those measure words are flexible in usage.The measure words with same or similar semantic features are often grouped in synonyms.Although those measure words are synonyms,they are still different in some usage.Acquisition of the synonyms of measure words is easy for people whose mother tongue is Chinese;while it is difficult for people whose native language is not Chinese.Based on cognitive linguistics,this paper deep analysis three synonyms of measure w ords "pian" "mian" "zhang" from aspects of semantics and pragmatics,in order to get the reason why it is feasible for those three synonyms matching with the nouns.And based on the survey on overseas students acquisition of three measure words,we hope that this research can use for reference for teachers and students when they are teaching or study synonyms of measure words.This paper contains five parts.The first part is introduction,in this part;we explain why we choose synonyms of measure words as our research and define the synonym of measure word.At the same time,we set out the achievements of synonyms of measure words and explain the research method and source of corpus linguistics data of this paper.In the second part,we summarize why "pian" "mian" "zhang" can match with nouns by analyses the features of these nouns,and explain the principle of this choose form the aspects of the semantics and pragmatics.In the third part,based on the corpus and questionnaire,we survey the overseas students about "pian" "mian" "zhang",and then statistic and interpret the result,in the meanwhile,we analyze the reasons for errors concerned with "pian" "mian" "zhang" when overseas students use them.In the four part,based on analysis of the semantic features of three words and overseas students acquisition of three words,the paper provide some suggestion from aspects of teachers,students and textbook.The fifth part is our conclusion;in this part,we retrospect our research,and indict some problem of this paper.
