Effects Of Comparison Of Color Words In Chinese And Malagasy

Language can not only express people’s thoughts,opinions,and knowledge,but also express people’s attitudes and beliefs.People from different countries have different cultural backgrounds and different languages.The biggest difference between different languages is according to the traditional culture that runs through people’s customs and behaviors.Conversely,language is a reflection of culture,reflected in all aspects of our daily lives.Color words refer to words that describe colors.They are symbols used to record colors and have rich emotional colors and cultural connotations.However,it is worth noting that in cross-cultural communication,due to the differences in the cultural background of different countries,different nationalities have different perceptions of colors,which make color words have multiple meanings.Affected by factors such as historical environment and cultural background,there are differences in the recognition and understanding of colors between Chinese and Malagasy peoples,and these differences are reflected in the expression and use of color words in Chinese and Malagasy languages.In Chinese language,color words are often used as adjectives or nouns,but in Malagasy language,color words do not usually appear alone,but as components of the sentence.At present,current research on Malagasy color words are not many and it is not easy to find relevant information about color words.Malagasy learner do not have a thorough understanding of color words in Malagasy.Meanwhile,more and more people are learning Chinese all over the world,and Malagasy people have begun to learn Chinese language.Therefore,under the influence of many factors,the comparison of color words in Chinese language and Malagasy language(hereinafter referred to as "Ma" language)research is very necessary.This thesis mainly starts from the perspective of color words and compares the color words in Chinese language and Ma language.This article is mainly divided into five parts:The first part: Introduction is an overview of this article.It roughly narrates the relevant research on color words intern and abroad,and introduces the basic research purpose,meaning or significance,ideas and methods of this article,as well as the basic process of the research.The second part: by consulting the literature about the color words of Chinese and Ma language,analyze the basic meanings of color words in Chinese and Ma language,and summarize the characteristics of those two languages as well as the similarities and differences that exist between them based on these research results.The third part: Analyze and compare the extended meanings of color words in Chinese and Ma language,and get the semantic correspondence the following four aspects: basic semantic correspondence,semantic partial correspondence,semantic non-correspondence,and semantic vacancy.The fourth part: focuses on the metaphorical meaning of color words in Chinese and Ma language,discusses the differences between two countries ’cultures by using the color words,and explains the reasons for this difference and the habits of the two peoples by using color words.The fifth part: summary of the full text.The innovation of this article: Because there are not many comparative research between Chinese and Ma language,and there are few documents that use color words as the starting point,the research in this article has certain pioneering significance.
