Non-verbal communication methods play an important role in human verbal communication.Following the study of paralanguage and body language quasilanguage has also become the research object of non-verbal communication methods. At present, the definition of quasi-language in academia mainly includes speech elements and answering words, cohesive words, laughter, crying, coughing and applause.Domestic quasi-language research is divided into three situations: equating quasi-language with paralanguage, classifying quasi-language into paralanguage, and independent quasi-language research.Due to the different definitions of narrow paralanguage in China, this makes the boundary between the physical characteristics of voice and speech without fixed semantics and the answer and cohesive words blurred. The focus of non-verbal communicative research in Dream of Red Mansions is mainly on the study of generalized paralanguage and body language. The quasi-language appearing in Dream of Red Mansions is analyzed as a sound from the perspective of sound narrative.Research has not yet taken shape. However, the actual verbal communication scene is full of sounds with no semantic and pragmatic functions, such as yawns and snoring sounds from vocal organs, finger sounds and high heels from body movements, clock sounds and piano sounds from artificial mechanical objects, etc. The sound of wind and rain, the collision of branches and leaves, the sound of animals and so on.People sometimes consciously use these voices to participate in communication. These non-semantic,pragmatic voices that are deliberately drawn into communication are quasi-language.We have made it clear that the narrow paralanguage is a super phonetic feature and a super pronunciation method.Body language is a silent body language. The part of the academia's definition of quasi-language that contains phonetic elements, answer words, and cohesive words is taken out.The sounds generated by the actions are classified as quasi-language.Narrow quasi-language is a non-verbal vocal organ sound that a verbal communicator consciously emits or receives, and responds accordingly. It includes all non-verbal vocal sounds from human utterance organs that have no semantic meaning. The general quasi-language is expanded from the non-verbal pronunciation of organ sounds to all non-verbal sounds made by humans using limb movements, tools or nature. In addition to the narrow sense of language,it also includes the sounds of other organs of the human body, motion sounds, borrowed artificial sounds and the use of nature voices.Since quasi-language must be used in communication,we introduce the basic model of verbal communication.Based on the basic model of verbal communication,a relatively independent quasi-language communication model and a comprehensive communicative model including speech, narrow paralanguage, body language and quasi-language are constructed. The event is used as an example to explore the role of quasi-language in the communication system to convey emotional attitudes, replace specific words, enhance the willingness of language effect, and affect the communication process.Through a comparative analysis of the differences in the number, type, proportion, and narrative function of the first 80 and last 40 quasilanguage of The Dream of Red Mansions,it can be concluded that the first 80 quasilanguage makes the character images more plump and three-dimensional,rendered the atmosphere of the environment, promoted the development of the plot, and implied the narrative theme. Then the forty times of quasi-language distorted the image of the characters to a certain extent, making the environmental atmosphere, plot development and narrative themes too overwhelming. It proves that the level of use of quasi-language in the first 80 times is higher than that in the last 40 times, and provides a quasi-language reading perspective and strategy for the whole book reading of Dream of Red Mansions.
