A Survey Of Chinese Learning Software Commonly Used By British And Pakistani Students

With the development of mobile network communication technology,more and more Chinese learners are using Chinese learning application to improve their Chinese.In order to understand the current situation of foreign students' use of Chinese learning application,the author investigated the situation of British students' use of Chinese learning application Pleco and Pakistani students' use of Chinese learning application TrainChinese,and then obtained the users' evaluation of the two application and put forward corresponding Suggestions.This paper includes the following parts:The introduction discusses the research purpose,research significance,research methods used,relevant research status and theoretical basis.The second chapter mainly introduces the functions of Pleco commonly used by British students and TrainChinese commonly used by Pakistani students.The third chapter,through the investigation and analysis of British students use PLeoc and Pakistan students use TrainChinese evaluation and demand,summed learners of Pleco handwritten check word,TrainChinese Training,stroke order demonstration function and dictionary content of these two applications has higher satisfaction.However,the survey results showed that these two application also have some problems,such as incorrect and incomplete definitions,the number of example sentences is small,example sentences are not very communicative and other problems in the dictionary content;The flash card function of Pleco is not friendly to users,the TrainChinese advertisements are too much,and there is no emphasis on query terms in example sentences and so on.In terms of use needs,learners have a strong demand for diversified explanation of words(such as picture and video),word list,vocabulary games and so on.In chapter four,through the investigation of the dictionary contents of Pleco and TrainChinese application,the author summarized the questions about the definitions and example sentences of the two application as a supplement to the questionnaire.In chapter five,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions to application developers,learners and teachers.
