Mr. Zhang Yachu's Research On Ancient Philology

Zhang Yachu is a accomplished scholar of ancient character.He has deep academic attainments.He is skilled in the bronze inscriptions and very influential in the palaeography filed.This paper attempts to study Zhang Yachu's achievements in paleography,includes the study of oracle bones inscriptions,the textual research on bronze inscriptions,the study of bronze and its history and culture,the study of Chinese character theory,the books he edited.The full-text of the paper is divided into five chapters.The first part is introduction includes Zhang Yachu's life and his academic achievements,current status of domestic research contents,methods and significance.We can grasp Zhang Yachu's study and work experiences through this part,as well as have a macroscopic grasp to his academic events.The second part is “ Mr.Zhang's accomplishment of explicating the inscription in philology.” This part is the key chapters of this thesis,mainly discussed Mr.Zhang's achievements about the study of oracle bones inscriptions,the textual research on bronze inscriptions,the study of bronze and its history and culture.In respect of study of oracle bones inscriptions,this article introduces Mr.Zhang's explication of some words in it.In respect of the textual research on bronze inscriptions,this article introduces his accomplishments of explicating some inscriptions on ancient bronze.In respect of the study of bronze and its history and culture,this article introduce research of the Bronze vessels in the period of Yi-Xin,bronze vessels to Shang and Zhou.And this part describes Zhang Yachu's achievements about the edit books.The third part is “ Mr.Zhang's theory of Chinese characters and other.” To make a summary assessment of Zhang's theory on form of ancient inscriptions,formation of character and methods of interpretation ancient texts interpretation.On the other hand,other work done by Mr.Zhang is reviewed including compiling the Yearbook.The fourth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the whole paper.The fifth part is appendix “A collection of Zhang yachu's paper.” In this part,42 papers and conference speeches are collected and sorted out.In ascending order of publication date and some faint shapes are replaced by clear ancient characters.In order to promote the readers to read and boost the further development,some of the manuscript articles are changed into more clear printed articles.
