In recent years, the study on a certain radical of SHUO WEN JIE ZI(《说文解字》)has been a focus in Philology. However, there is a lack of systematic analysis from this point of view for characters in earlier text materials. Oracle-bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions are the origins of the formation and development of Chinese characters and it would be of more significance to analyze the usage of a word through these text materials."The ear" is one of the most important modern radicals of Chinese characters and it is divided into "left ear" and "right ear". It must be noted that the "left and right ear" is actually due to the simplification of modern Chinese characters, while usually we use "left-Fu and right-Yi" to distinguish their meanings. For words with the radical of "Fu", the "Fu" is generally placed in the glyph left. How does this come into place? And what are the characteristics of these words when they were first used? To answer these questions, we need to explore the earliest text materials. Many predecessors have already conducted detailed studies and achieved some valuable research results concerning about the common words with the radical of "Fu" on oracle-bone inscriptions and bronze inscriptions, but these studies are scattered and unsysmatic.
