As the earliest and most representative stone-carving characters in China,the stone-drum inscriptions are characterized by beautiful prose,concise narration,the greatest representative of big seal characters and the pioneer of small seal characters.As the "ancestor of stone carving",stone-drum inscriptions have their distinct characteristics: One,Unique shape;Two,unique font;Three,The only watershed.These distinctive features of stone-drum inscriptions have aroused the attention of philologists,calligraphy theorists and calligraphers of all ages,which shows its importance.On the study of stone-drum inscriptions,the predecessors mainly discussed the spread of its rubbings,the value of literature and calligraphy,and the influence of it on later generations,but did not make a deep interpretation and analysis of it's copying,extraction and its impact on seal script creation.Wu Changshuo,as the master of stone-drum inscriptions,is very representative by analyzing his copy of stone-drum inscriptions and the influence of it on his writing style.This paper tries to analyze the process of his early,middle and late copying of stone-drum inscriptions,and find out the relationship between copying and creating,so as to provide valuable experience and enlightenment for learners.The core part of this paper is Wu Changshuo's copying and extraction of stone-drum inscriptions and the influence of his stone-drum inscriptions on my creation of seal script.In "Wu Changshuo's copying and extraction of stone-drum inscriptions ",I compared Wu Changshuo's copy of stone-drum inscriptions in the early,middle and late period with stone-drum inscriptions,so as to make clear the seal script style of Wu Changshuo and the method of extraction in the process of learning it.In "the influence of Wu Changshuo's stone-drum inscriptions on my creationof Chinese seal script",I have divided it into four chapters: One,the inspiration on my seal characters learning of his stone-drum inscriptions;Two,the influence of Wu Changshuo's stone-drum inscriptions on my technique of writing;Three,the influence of his stone-drum inscriptions on the structure of my words;Four,the influence of his stone-drum inscriptions on my art of composition.In addition to the study of its techniques,Wu Changshuo also pursued its spirit and had his own unique aesthetic ideas.He made bold reform and innovation in technique of writing,the structure of words,,art of composition,and ink style in stone drum calligraphy,forming his own style of "vigorous,thick,simple and powerful",and promoting the good development of stone-drum inscriptions in later generations.In addition,Wu Changshuo's stone-drum inscriptions also have a great impact on my seal script creation.They promote my understanding of seal script creation,improve my seal script creation,and bring more chances for my calligraphy learning.At the same time,I also hope that calligraphy learners can get inspiration and opportunities for their seal script creation from Wu Changshuo's stone-drum inscriptions.,which is of great significance to the study of stone drum calligraphy and the contemporary seal script creation.
