Research On Zhou Zumo's "Er Ya Xiaobian"

"Er Ya" is an early exegetical dictionary in China,and also an important language classic in the thirteen classics of Confucianism.When Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty,there were Qianwei literature for annotation research.During the Han and Wei Jin Dynasties,there were more than ten annotations.There were also many ancient characters and different texts in "Er Ya".Lu Deming of Tang Dynasty wrote "Erya’s sound and meaning",which covered a wide range of books and preserved the situation of different texts in the biography of "Er Ya" before the Sui and Tang Dynasties.Since the Sui,Tang and Song Dynasties,the collection of classics and history books has continued,and a large number of elegant books of Song,Yuan and Ming dynasties have been published and engraved,forming a system of Song,Yuan and Ming editions.In the Qing Dynasty,the study of Er Ya was flourishing,and scholars made the most effort in collating the edition of "Er Ya",with remarkable achievements.Ruan Yuan’s collation of Erya’s annotations contains important editions of "Er Ya" in Song,Yuan and Ming Dynasties.There are thousands of different texts in Erya’s annotations.Ruan’s discrimination of different texts has been generally recognized by scholars,and it is an important reference work for the study of Erya’s different texts."Er Ya collating notes" is a representative work of Zhou Zumo’s Er Ya study.The essence of the book is the collation after the text.Its collation value is beyond its original edition,school-based reference,and material citation inside and outside the field.It is not only the first choice for the research of annotation,collation,compilation and lost edition of "Er Ya",but also the important reference and theoretical basis for the research of Erya’s vocabulary.It is also widely cited in the research fields of exegesis of classical documents,Chinese vocabulary research,ancient characters interpretation and so on.Mr.Zhou’s rich knowledge of writing and phonology has made him enter the source of the book and achieved remarkable results.This paper systematically combs 949 proofreading words of "Er Ya collating notes",analyzes the style of "Er Ya collating notes",studies the edition problems of the selected base and reference edition of "Er Ya collating notes",summarizes the content and method of "Er Ya collating notes",mainly studies the situation of different texts,combs collating notes of erroneous characters,missing characters,redundant characters,reversed characters,borrowed characters,folk characters and standard characters,variant characters,ancient and modern characters,reveal Mr.Zhou’s innovative proofreading results,and summarize the proofreading rules of "Er Ya collating notes".The purpose of this paper is to make a comprehensive study of "Er Ya collating notes" by Zhou zumo from a macro perspective,so as to understand the text more deeply;to explore the internal collation characteristics of "Er Ya collating notes" from a micro perspective,so as to promote the development of Er Ya school paper to a certain extent.
