Study On Liu Wen-dian's Huainan Honglie Jijie

Huainanzi is a masterpiece with profound content. Since the DongHan Dynasty, scholars annotated Huainanzi in succession. In Qing Dynasty,influenced by the textual criticism, the study of Huainanzi achieved a peak, a lot of scholars concentrated on it. In Huainanzi Systematically Notes, LIU Wen-dian's Huainan Honglie Jijie is one of the most important. LIU Wen-dian compiled the revision on Huainanzi since Qing Dynasty and quoted Wenxuan and some Genus-books,such as Taiping Yulan. He collected plenty of rare material,and gave many accurat opinions. This essay is a monographic study of Huainan Honglie Jijie. Our study can be mainly divided into three parts:Firstly, we inspected the systematically notes of Huainanzi, the circulation of Huainanzi and the academic life of LIU Wen-dian. Secondly, we made a review of LIU Wen-dian's note from content, collating method, supplementary collating. Thirdly, we gave an objective evaluation on the contribution and shortage of the book. Through the comprehensive analysis of the book, we can find the most important value of it is LIU Wen-dian's deliberated collation, which reflect his reserch idea and spirit. It provids beneficial reference for our future reserch and collate of ancient books.
