The teaching of English picture books in primary schools in China is still in the exploratory stage.The main research focuses on the explanation and selection of picture books and the study of teaching strategies,meanwhile the research of creative thinking teaching only stays on the specific daily English teaching.This paper discusses the influence of positive emotion,time pressure and the combination of both of them on the development of pupils' creative thinking ability.The purpose of this study is to provide method reference and practical inspiration for the research on the teaching of picture books in primary schools and the development of creative thinking ability,so as to help teachers acquire methods of picture books teaching in primary schools,thus to promote the development of students' creative thinking ability effectively.This experiment mainly explores the following questions: 1)what is the effect of these three different teaching interventions o vention methods by using Latin square teaching experiment design and semi-structured interview to collect data.In this study,60 students from class 1 and class 2,grade 5 in a primary school in Zhucheng were selected as subjects by means of convenience sampling.The experiment was carried out once a week for two months.Six students participated in the interview.The experimental data were analyzed and processed by SPSS 21.0,and the statistical method was one-way analysis of variance.The results show that: 1)positive emotion,time pressure and the combination of both of them have huge different influences toward pupils' creative thinking.Specifically,the combination of both of them works best,followed by positive emotions and then time pressure.2)the negative effects of positive emotions and the positive effects of time pressure cancel each other out,resulting in the best combination of both;The induction of positive emotions increases students' learning interest and stimulates their creative thinking ability effectively,so the teaching intervention of positive emotions and the combination of both is better than the teaching effect of single time pressure.According to the experimental results above,this study draws the following enlightenment:(1)the combination of appropriate time pressure and positive emotions is more conducive to the development of pupils' creative thinking ability than the general creative thinking teaching(2)method.In order to improve the effect of creative thinking teaching,teachers should control these factors at the same time.(2)it is suggested that front-line teachers should give enough time to learners to understand the basic concepts of creative thinking,and then use time pressure to demand execution efficiency.(3)in teaching activities,creating a sense of time pressure reasonably can reduce students' procrastination behavior,and reduce the time spent in learning,reducing the burden on students objectively;If students can have positive expectations for the results of learning tasks,it can improve their motivation and positive emotions,which is conducive to physical and mental health and learning outcomes.n the teaching of creative thinking in primary school English by combining positive emotions,time pressure and both of them?
