Wang Shen,poet of the southern Song dynasty,whose courtesy name was ShuGeng,also known as LiuTang,was from xiuning,Anhui province.He was unruly from childhood and have great ambitions.And he was so disdainful to make the house sound disease of the text,no matter the imperial examination.But he always have patriotic concerns about the people’s thoughts,should have written a seal,on the day of personnel,civilian poor officials pollution and the law of the arrangement of the teacher,but there was not reported.Wang Shen was introduced by Xu Yi in the court,but there was no result.Then he built a room at Liuxi.Since then he had began to call himself Fanghujushi.He recitesd poetry every time when he got drunk in order to let off the depress in his heart.His works can be found in the preserved manuscript of the square pot,which is now preserved in nine volumes of the engraved edition of the Ming dynasty.As one of Zhu Xi’s twelve superior students in Huizhou,Wang Shen,together with Cheng Xun,Cheng Xian and Cheng Yongqi,was the early founder of xin ’an neo-confucianism.Wang Shen is not only a famous neo-confucianist,he also made great achievements in literary creation.This paper attempts to explore the influence of neo-confucianism on literary creation and the uniqueness of his literary works through a comprehensive investigation of relevant literature and specific works.The content of the article is divided into three chapters: the first chapter discusses Wang Shen’s life,friends and writings.This paper mainly summarizes Wang Shen’s life and experience,the existence of his works,the communication between Wang Shen and his mentor Zhu Xi and other friends.The second chapter is an overview of Wang Shen’s neo-confucianism,including the origin and orientation of his neo-confucianism,the humanistic environment of Xiuning in his hometown and the guidance of his teacher Zhu Xi,which made Wang Shen study the road of righteousness.The third chapter is the study of Wang Shen’s literary creation,which is also the focus of the article.Wang Shen has made great achievements in poetry,ci and literary creation.This chapter studies the characteristics of his literary creation from these three aspects.In terms of poetry,this paper first discusses his poetical view,and shows the influence of his poetical view on poetry creation from four aspects: "Reserved and profound,full of reasonable interest","Seeing poetry with wisdom,writing poetry with talent","Taking good care of the king and worrying the people","expressing one’s aspirations and expressing one’s feelings".In terms of ci poetry,the creation characteristics of ci poetry are demonstrated from three aspects: the creation view of "making with one’s own composition",the diversified theme orientation,the "making ci with neo-confucianismone" and the "making ci through the way of writeing articles".Finally,thepaper discusses the diversified artistic style of his prose.Through the study of Wang Shen’s neo-confucianism and literary creation,this paper redefines Wang Shen’s position in the ideological history and literary history of the southern Song dynasty,so as to benefit the study of the ideological history and literary history of the southern Song dynasty.
