| This paper studies Wang Zuo’s life and his literary works.Wang Zuo(1428--1512)was a famous scholar in Hainan during the Ming Dynasty.He was born in Cancun,Lingao.Wang Zuo lost his father at the age of seven and was brought up by his mother.He was intelligent and studious at an early age.After winning the first place in the provincial examination,he was admitted to the Imperial Academy for further study.When he was 38 years old,he was awarded the Tongzhi of Gaozhou Prefecture.He spent more than 20 years as a local official in Gaozhou,Shaowu and Linjiang Prefecture.He was honest and fair and was called "Renming Sima".In his old age he resigned and returned to his hometown.Then he was invited by the governor to edit Fu Zhi and loved by the people of his hometown.Wang Zuo loved reading and writing all his life.He wrote a lot of books,including Ji Lei Ji,Jing Ji Mu Lue,Jia Shuyuan Jiao,Geng Shen Lu,Zhu Ya Lu and local chronicles Qiongtai Wai Ji.Wang Zuo was a representative among the rapidly rising Hainan writers in the Ming Dynasty,and was also an important writer in Hainan culture.However,there is little research on Wang Zuo and his literary creation in the academic.In this paper,Wang Zuo and his literary creation were collected and studied,and Wang Zuo’s own literary works and local chronicles along with other ancient books were taken as the key object,striving to fully show the overall style of Wang Zuo.The introduction introduces the times Wang Zuo lived in and reviews the academic achievements of Wang Zuo’s research.In addition,research method is also clarified.The first part of the text examines Wang Zuo’s family life and friends,and introduces his life experience in detail.his family background,educational background and career path were sorted out and his friends group from two aspects of official colleagues and fellow countrymen were introduced in this part.The second part of the text introduces Wang Zuo’s works.All works of Wang Zuo were summarized and then the three important works,namely Ji Lei Ji,Qiongtai Wai Ji and Jinchuan Yu Xie Ji were discussed in detail.The third part examines the creation of Wang Zuo’s poems and summarizes the total number of poems in Ji Li Ji from the points of view of ideological content and artistic characteristics.The last part discusses Wang Zuo’s prose creation,combining the prose works in Ji Li Ji.Wang Zuo’s prose achievements were summarized according to the genre,ideological content and artistic characteristics.The conclusion part is a brief summary and review of the previous article. |
