The Feasibility Study Of WeChat-assisted Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

As new media have diversified channels and methods of Chinese publicity,how to make Chinese teaching more scientific with their help has become a hot topic.WeChat is an essential application for foreign students to communicate with Chinese people and live in China due to its large numbers of users.However,research on WeChat-assisted Chinese teaching in academic circles is still relatively little.Therefore,the feasibility and concrete operation methods of the WeChat-assisted Chinese teaching need to be explored.This thesis starts with questionnaires to investigate the use of WeChat as an assistance for teaching and study by Chinese teachers and international students,as well as their attitudes.And then it studies the application of WeChat in Chinese teaching,taking an example of advanced oral Chinese teaching.Next,through classroom observation and text analysis of lesson plans,in addition to teacher interviews,a general mode of advanced oral Chinese teaching and what WeChat plays in the process are outlined,taking an oral teaching lesson "We Do Not Fall in Love at First Sight" as an example.Afterwards,the general mode of advanced spoken Chinese teaching assisted by WeChat takes shape.Finally,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the advanced oral Chinese teaching assisted by WeChat.This thesis consists of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction which constitutes of the reasons for choosing the topic,the value of the paper and a literature review.The second chapter is a research design,including the research object,the purpose,the procedure and the questionnaire design.The third chapter is an investigation and analysis of WeChat-assisted Chinese teaching and learning.The fourth chapter is an analysis of applying WeChat to advanced spoken Chinese teaching.Firstly,the teaching mode and current use of WeChat in advanced Chinese teaching is outlined through classroom observations,analysis of lesson plans,and teacher interviews.Then the fourth chapter analyzes the feasibility of WeChat in assisting the teaching of advanced oral Chinese.Finally,a mode and concrete teaching design for advanced oral Chinese teaching assisted by WeChat are proposed.Chapter 5 is the conclusion.
