Currently,the concept of Connotative Development in school education reform has drawn wide attention of the academia.This concept is aimed to enhance students’ learning ability and aesthetic taste,which are known as the key competencies,through curriculum and class reform.Previous research results and the current reality have revealed that the key competencies that students should possess are closely related to the curriculum system construction of their majors.This study takes the core curriculum of the dance performance major as the research object and the cultivation of the key competencies for dancers as the basic goal of the curriculum construction,and focuses on the student-centered educational ideal.It focuses on and goes deep into the undergraduate education context and reflects on the teaching process by means of research methods such as document analysis,historical research,and questionnaire survey.Based on this,the study provides the key competencies indicators and curriculum construction strategies with the professional features of dance performance major that meet the requirements of dance disciplines so as to offer some practical suggestions for teaching reform and practice.The main part of this study consists of four chapters.The first chapter sorts out the development of professional dance performance in China,analyzes the reality with cases and summarizes the general rules.The second chapter focuses on the basic connotation of the dancers’ key competencies and provides the basis for the core curriculum construction of the dance performance major.The third chapter elaborates on the theoretical foundation and realistic basis of the curriculum construction,and figures out the shortcomings of the current curriculum system based on data analysis,interviews,the current situation of the curriculum system and learners’ feedback.The fourth chapter builds a professional undergraduate core curriculum system for dance performance based on the dancers’ key competencies,proposes the construction path of Reticular Education,emphasizes breaking through barriers between different dance types,and provides a core curriculum system that intersects with different disciplines so as to trigger learners’ initiative and creativity.The study finds out that building core curriculum based on the "dancers’ key competencies" is an important breakthrough for the first-class dance undergraduate education construction.We must correctly understand the actual demands and future possibilities of educational development,strive to update educational concepts and teaching methods,and adopt a competency-oriented core curriculum system to cultivate creative dancers who are adaptable for future development with sustainable capabilities.
