The cultivation of the art management professionals in China was formed from "the ArtManagement Specialized Training Class" which was held by Shanghai Opera School in 1983,andthe culture management teaching and research office founded by Central Cultural AdministrationCadre Institute.Management department of Beijing Film Academy recruited the first batch ofundergraduate students majoring in management in 1987.From then on,the prelude thedevelopment of China’s art management was kicked off.After 2000,the regular higher educationalinstitutions in China(mainly in art academies and some comprehensive universities)comply withthe new development circumstances of the economic society,set up in succession art managementdepartment or major orientation,in order to meet the needs of the development of China’s culturalundertakings and cultural industry.Along with the vigorous development of China’s art and cultureundertaking in the new period,the demand for the professional talents of art management hasincreased enormously,together with the successful application for the admissions code of artmanagement of undergraduate major,the talent cultivation of university art managementundergraduate major has become especially important.As the core of university education,curriculum is the specific teaching scheme for training students,which is the important reflection ofdiscipline orientation,and also the core content of training of professional talents.First,throughteasing out the development status of domestic and foreign art management undergraduate majors,which is set in the background,on one hand,this paper conducts a study on setting up artmanagement of undergraduate major represents the specific curriculum structure of the university,on the other hand,it conducts study on the core curriculum content involved in the seminar,forum,academic journals and major landmark events related to the construction of the discipline in artmanagement over the years.It teases out and summarizes the development status of the China’s corecurriculum structure for art management of undergraduate major in different stages,thus providesreference and thinking for the construction of professional courses in university art managementundergraduate major.
