A Comparative Study Of Range Adverbs "quan", "du" And "net"

Based on the grammatical theory of three planes,this paper makes a detailed description and detailed comparison of the syntactic,semantic and pragmatics of the scope adverbs "Quan","Dou" and "Jing".From the point of view of syntactic function,the syntactic distributions of the scope adverbs "Quan","Dou" and "Jing" are roughly the same,which are all located between the subject-predicate structures,but the modified components are different,the range of the modified objects of "Dou" is widest,the "Quan" can only modify the predicate components,and "Jing" can only modify the noun and verb components.To analyze the semantic features,it is found that the semantic orientation of "Quan" and "Dou" is not much different,basically interchangeable,but the semantics of "Quan" is more biased towards the whole,"Jing" is more singular and exclusive in the term of semantics.In pragmatic choice,"Quan" is more restrictive than "Dou",the scope adverb "Jing" is used less frequently with the heaviest spoken color,and the strongest subjective color,which can also be used as a definitive scope adverb compared with the total scope adverb "Quan" and"Dou".And examines whether the three scope adverbs can replace each other from three planes.Finally,the evolution process of the adverb "Quan","Dou" and "Jing" is expounded from the dimension of digression.All three words have experienced the evolution process from the content word to the adverb that the diachronic evolution of words determines the meaning of words in the synchronic level.During the evolution,some of the meanings are limited by the rapid development of other meanings,and some of the meanings are generated by the other meanings.On the other word,the adverb "Quan" evolved from verbs and adjectives in the pre-Qin Chinese language.During the Han Dynasty,"Quan" was located in front of the verb as an adverbial which was virtualizing the use of the adverb of scope;The adverb "Dou" develops from a noun to a verb,and gradually becomes an adverb of degree under the dual role of semantics and syntax which develops the use of general adverb;The scope adverb"Jing" began to germinate in the Han Dynasty,the meanings of limited scope adverb is generalized by the adjective meaning(no surplus).
