The Semantic Orientation Of Extensional Scope Adverb

Scope adverb is one of the most important parts of the adverb.Based on study of semantic orientation,this paper focuses on semantic orientation pattern of scope adverb in modern Chinese.Firstly,we try to divide scope adverb into some sub categories.And the extensional scope adverb is our object of study.It includes adverb "Hai,You,Zai".The analysis of semantic orientation patterns helps us to know their discipline.This essay is composed by five parts:Part one carries on the review and the forecast to the research condition of scope adverb.Part Two defines the extensional scope adverb and its members.And we raise some theory and ways to help us to research into this problem.Part Three and Part Four are important parts of this paper,it based on the theory of semantic direction,semantic item and semantic link,analyzes semantic orientation patterns of the extensional scope adverb.Meanwhile,because the sense of them is very complicated,we divide them into some categories,that is the original meaning and the extended meaning. After careful study,we find that they follow the same discipline of semantic orientation.On studying the pattern of the semantic orientation,we consider that different scope adverbs have different inner sameness.In general,sometimes,"Hai,You,Zai" are double directions, multiple items and multiple links,sometimes they are single direction,multiple items and multiple links.Part Four discusses the semantic orientation ambiguity of scope adverb and also discusses how to remove the semantic orientation ambiguity.Part Five is the summary of this paper,as well as the limitation of the research.
