This paper is a practical report on site interpretation. With the remarkable achievements of China's reform and opening up in recent years, the gross national economy has grown rapidly, the relationship between China and the world has become increasingly close, the cause of studying abroad in China has also developed dramatically, and more and more young students have begun to study abroad.Interpretation also plays an irreplaceable role in choosing schools for more Chinese parents. However, due to the lack of knowledge and cultural understanding of different academic background and educational systems, communication between the Chinese and Western people inevitably results in unsatisfactory words, which undoubtedly increases the demand for professional interpreters. At present, there is no lack of research on interpretation theory or practice both at home and abroad. However, the principles of interpretation for overseas projects are not common. In addition to accurately conveying the basic information of both sides, the author also needs to reverse the misunderstanding of cultural cognition of the two peoples. Therefore, the author's interpretation practice research on Sino-Australian cultural exchanges has both theoretical and practical significance.Through the study of interpretation practice at the Australian High School Exchange,it is found that the main factors affecting the quality of interpretation are linguistic and non-linguistic aspects.Language affects the quality of interpretation mainly by the common problems of misinterpretation and the lack of semantic equivalence;besides language,non-language also affects the quality of translation, reflecting the impact of cross-cultural communication and psychological aspects affected by cultural differences between China and Australia.Based on the above problems and practical cases of interpretation, the author puts forward corresponding strategies, that is,combining interpretative approach, domestication and interpretation, supplementing relevant background knowledge, respecting cultural differences and adapting to the interpretation site. The author also talks about the project content of the Australian High School Exchange Meeting and the requirements for interpreters in order to provide better service experience to customers. In addition, the author also summarizes the experience, lessons and Enlightenment of this interpretation.Based on the author's real experience, this paper summarizes the past experience and provides solutions, laying a solid foundation for future interpretation practice and providing effective guidance.
